Worm & Worm Gears: custom made to your specifications The Adams Company  manufactures all types of worm gears and worms to customer specifications in single or multiple thread configurations. Worms are available as coarse as 1 circular pitch or as fine as 20 Ax. D.P. Outside diameters range up to 6 in. and worm lengths range up to 12 in. These products can be constructed in any ferrous or non-ferrous material, in integral shaft or shell type with ground or unground, plain, splined, or keyed bores. Ground or milled finishes are available on worms. Worm gears can be manufactured as coarse as 1 circular pitch and as fine as 20 Ax. D.P. and with an outside diameter up to 24 in. They can be single or multiple thread. We have the option of heat treating parts. Available services include blanking, grinding, hobbing, crowning, shaping, shaving and milling as well as internal, external and thread grinding and reverse engineering.
