Shafts: custom made and precision ground to your specifications The Adams Company manufactures pinion, plain, threaded, tapered or straight shafts to customer specifications, up to 5 in. outer diameter x 10 ft. long and spline length up to 48 in. long. Shafts are available in ferrous and non-ferrous materials including stainless steel. Furnished with keyways, drilled and tapped, ground or unground. Shafts can be heat treated or non-heat treated. Available services include blanking, grinding, hobbing, shaping, shaving and milling as well as thread, internal and external grinding and reverse engineering.
